B1T — Inside White Rabbit's Hole

Technical Whitepaper · Version 1.0 · August 2026

1. Introduction — About Bit (B1T)

Bit (B1T) is a human-centric, Scrypt AuxPoW cryptocurrency built on the foundational 01 zero-one system. With a supply ten times smaller and block times ten times faster than Bitcoin, B1T proves that true decentralization — powered by real humans — still thrives.

Anchored by a hard cap of 2,100,000 B1T, a 1-minute block time and transparent halvings every 210,000 blocks, B1T aligns miner incentives, creator value and collector demand into a sustainable ecosystem. But B1T is more than code: when you hear B1T, it means YOU.

Design goals

  • Verifiable scarcity — no tail emission, no surprise inflation
  • Fast confirmations for everyday payments
  • Fair, merge-mined security without hardware arms races
  • Human-readable identity on-chain (@Nicknames)
  • A home for human-made art (Ordinals)

Key facts

  • Genesis: June 28, 2025 — block 456ef94b…2259862
  • 93.9 % of the total supply already mined (August 2026)
  • Available on Windows, Linux, Android and as web wallet

2. Vision — The Fundamental Unit

B1T stands as a movement against where most cryptocurrencies are headed: centralization and greed. Hard-capped at 2.1 million with no infinite rewards, B1T takes a sustainable, decentralized route.

B1T is rebellion

Own B1T, share B1T, wake others up. The fundamental unit — a single "bit" — is designed to be giftable: small enough to share, scarce enough to matter. Sharing a single B1T brings new users into the Rabbit Hole and strengthens our collective voice.

Use cases

The cornerstone of B1T's future lies in its versatile use cases:

  • Micropayments
  • Store of value
  • NFT creation
  • Payment method
  • And much more

3. Consensus & Technical Architecture

Scrypt + AuxPoW merge-mining

B1T is mined with the memory-hard Scrypt algorithm and employs Auxiliary Proof-of-Work (AuxPoW): miners prove work on established Scrypt parent chains and attach that proof to B1T blocks. One unit of energy therefore secures multiple chains — B1T inherits a share of the global Scrypt hashrate without its own hardware arms race.

4. Monetary Policy & Emission Schedule

Emission is fully deterministic. After the genesis allocation, every epoch spans exactly 210,000 blocks and ends with a halving. The schedule is engineered to converge precisely on the 2,100,000 cap at block 840,001 — roughly 1.6 years after launch.

Epoch 2210,002 – 420,0011.251,903,125
Epoch 3 (current)420,002 – 630,0010.6252,034,375
Epoch 4630,002 – 840,0010.31252,100,000

Convergence at the 2.1M cap

93.9 % of all coins already exist today. From block 840,002 onward, miners are compensated by transaction fees alone. Predictable scarcity removes monetary uncertainty: no surprise forks, no discretionary inflation, no hidden dev funds — the genesis allocation is publicly visible on-chain from block 1.

5. Network Comparison

Similar things, different approach. B1T shares battle-tested components with Bitcoin and Litecoin while compressing the monetary timeline by an order of magnitude.

6. On-Chain Art — Ordinals & Rabbitals

B1T supports Ordinals-style inscriptions: artwork is written directly into satoshis and lives on the blockchain itself — immutable, uncensorable and permanently owned.

Rabbitals are unique white-rabbit artworks crafted by human artists. No AI generation, no layered stock palettes: one Rabbital per artist — pure human creativity and symbolism.

Same coin, two sides. B1T balances utility and meme culture: fast transactions and real-world use meet creativity and community identity.

7. The Nickname Protocol

How it works

Nicknames replace long wallet addresses with human-readable names. Instead of Babc123xyzLongWalletAddress..., users receive at @yourname. A payment to @name is automatically routed to the address currently linked to that nickname.

  • Registered directly on-chain; available since block 400,000
  • Refundable bond required — spam and squatting become irrational
  • Bond is not burned; registration fees go to miners
  • Only the owner can update address, transfer or release

Lifecycle: ActiveGrace (safe renewal window) → Bond Claim (release and reclaim). Renewal restores Active status. Full details on the @Nicknames page.

8. Market Dynamics & Decentralization

With only 2.1 million supply, market swings are normal — and expected. But B1T becomes structurally stronger as holder count grows. One user = one vote. The more distributed the holdings, the less any single wallet can move the market. Decentralization becomes stability.

B1T should not be traded in large single chunks. Let time and distribution shape the ecosystem. After the final subsidy, fee-driven incentives sustain the network — a design viable because block frequency is high and the chain's culture favors many small transactions over few large ones.
